Project Description
The only national celebration of place based social change to inspire and make an impactful community change from Australia and around the world organised by four host organisations including Logan Together, Opportunity Child, Collaboration for Impact and Griffith University.
The Brief
Nectar was engaged to manage and produce four days conference including three different social events.
Our Idea
Our team managed the development of the conference program, assisted with registration management and everything in between. We worked with our speakers, suppliers and client to maximise the delegate experience with creative ideas.
- When it was recognised that the development of the Program by a diverse group with multi-focused outcomes became a greater challenge than expected, Nectar was engaged to provide a critical stakeholder management role to ensure delivery of a complex program – this role was suggested by Nectar and agreed to by the client, though out of our original service scope
- When very late but critical program inclusions had to be incorporated but affected venue parameters and in the height of a Queensland summer, Nectar solved this operationally by hiring an air-conditioned marquee
- When organisers were concerned that the ‘festival’ component of the event was not being achieved, Nectar sourced and implemented multiple inclusions. In particular, the musical and inclusive Opening which was very enthusiastically received by attendees and provided material for a Conference Anthem and video which played over the duration of the event
Results
The event brought together over 500 participants and multiple stakeholders who together developed a national and inclusive ‘Social Policy Statement’.
