Project Description

Nectar worked with Fearless as their professional conference organiser (PCO), delivering the FearLess National Conversation on PTSD 2019.  The event was held on 21 – 23 August at The Events Centre, Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.

With upwards of a million people in Australia suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and upwards of 3 million people living with people experiencing PTSD on a daily basis, PTSD is a national problem which requires a national response.  At Nectar, we were thrilled to provide full event management services to FearLess including venue management, delegate services, program support, technical staging, exhibition and social program management for this important inaugural event.

Our idea: 

As an inaugural conference being managed by a volunteer board, Nectar took the lead directing the conference organising committee, marketing plan, stakeholder communication and management. This ensured that all parts of the community were involved in the conference and that the board remained focused on their key objectives.

Results:

The event brought all key stakeholders of the community who work with sufferers of PTSD or are impacted by PTSD together to discuss the development a National PTSD Management Protocol.  As an outcome of this event, a communique was produced on the last date of the program which was publicly released the following week.
